Drug Discovery Support

Problem:

Early stage drug discovery involves the screening of a large number of chemical entities for rapid PK assessment.

Proposal:

We proposed developing a single method for the analysis of 3 diverse compounds (tranquilizer, antipsychotic and antiviral) in rat plasma in 2 days with a 1 ng/mL LLOQ.

Outcome:

A method was established for these compounds using a single internal standard in 2 days with a correlation coefficient of 0.997 or higher. The development involved scanning all 4 compounds, testing 5 analytical columns to minimize matrix effect and evaluating 2 separate LC/MS platforms.
